Adam Tokonitz comes forward as a new teacher at Riverside this year. He will be teaching Introduction to Engineering Design and Digital Electronics.
Mr. Tokonitz began his path towards a teaching career in engineering when he was in high school. He explained that his PLTW teachers were what pushed him towards pursuing a career in engineering. Mr. Tokonitz went on to earn his degree in Technology Engineering and Design Education at NC State. During his time in college, his experience in new environments made Mr. Tokonitz realize that teaching engineering was what he wanted to do.
Last year, Tokonitz was a student teacher under Mr. Davidson at Riverside.
Aside from teaching, Mr. Tokonitz enjoys working on his car and taking trips to the beach and mountains.
