The women’s soccer team is on the verge of making the playoffs.
The Lady Pirates are currently 3-7-1, and 1-5 in conference.
Soccer coach Eric Long said “Our conference is really competitive. We are going against Wake County schools, but we’re holding our own. It’s going well, our record is 3-7-1.”
The Lady Pirates have upcoming games against Green Hope, Northern and Cary. Long believes they team will need to win eight games to make the playoffs.
“[We have] only three wins right now we’re probably going to have to win four or five games out of the eight we have left to make it into the playoffs “ said Long.
The women’s soccer team has bounced back, and have played their last 2 games extremely well. However, each game resulted in unfortunate 1-0 loses by an extremely good good Panther Creek and Athens Drive team. The pirates hope to finish out the season strong and reverse the results of their past few games.
