The Pirates’ Hook (PH): Where are you from?
Yndra Aguilar (YA): I am from Mexico.
PH: Can you share a little bit about your background?
YA: I was brought here to the United States at 6 years old. I am a DACA recipient. All of my work experience is from Minnesota. I lived there for four years after high school. I have a dog. I am married, no kids.
PH: How is your job here at Riverside different from your previous job?
YA: Well, I get to interact with people. I worked from home at my previous job.
PH: What would you say brought you to Riverside?
YA: I think just getting a career change.
PH: What qualities do you think that you bring to the faculty and front desk?
YA: I speak Spanish.
PH: If you weren’t a teacher, what other career would you have pursued?
YA: Probably a therapist.
