RHS students trespassing in nearby neighborhood

Residents in the neighborhoods surrounding Riverside’s campus are complaining about students trespassing on their private property.

RHS was notified that this was becoming an issue when they started getting complaints from residents within the neighborhood Grande Park, who have seen students trespassing.

Assistant principal Will Okun has been handling this issue so far.

“We have been receiving complaints from residents about our students being on [private] property,” he said.

Students typically walk behind the tennis courts, through the woods and into the neighborhood.

Okun also said that “Riverside school resource officers (“SROs”) “and the admin team have helped deal with complaints.

“We try to figure out who’s going onto residents property,” Okun said. “It’s been an ongoing issue and there shouldn’t be any kids on anyone’s property for any reason.”
